I'm working on a website directory (intrasti.com), not really sure what the direction is other than I'd like to celebrate the best of the internet in a way that isn't pay to win, manipulative, or anything like that.

It's a slow business and engineering catalyst that I'm making progress with behind the scenes each day. Suffice to say I'm taking the scenic route!

Currently working on a unified website submission flow for submissions and topic creations (topics are collections of websites) and after that I'll be looking into overhauling the whole site focusing on accessibility and how I can make that a great experience.

I wish I liked the MX but I'm not sure if I have bigger than average hands (I don't think so by much!).. I believe the issue is that with putting my hand on the MX mouse the only contact I have with the desk is my wrist and that puts pressure on my wrist.

However with a mouse that doesn't have the thumb support like the MX does, my thumb and left side of my (right) hand distributes more pressure along my hand and down to including my wrist so it distributes the pressure more evenly.

It's also not necessarily just pain but ergonomic uncomfortable in a way that was super distracting, like warning signs that if I kept it up then I'll eventually be in pain.

I've tried to use software like this and it looks awesome but it wasn't ultimately the solve for me when it comes to ergonomics.

I used a logitech mx mouse with the palm shape or whatever it's called and I realized that it stopped me from putting more of my hand on the desk, pin pointing the pressure of my hand onto the mouse instead of the desk. What helped dramatically was getting a smaller mouse without that thumb/palm shape (the logitech M720 Triathlon), that distributed more of the pressure onto my desk and I haven't had an issue since.

I hope that helps for anyone having similar ergonomic issues!

If you don't use it you lose it, and a lot of people are losing it..

I'm working on my website directory (https://intrasti.com) I've mostly been slow about it over the last year as I continue upskilling.. will be looking for a full time job so I can keep up the slow pace!

There hasn't been any releases in the last couple months but I'm working on some stuff like search topic shelves (netflix-style shelves in the search) and I'm going to bring back visited links that look similar to YouTube 'watched' thumbnail tags!

I'm not sure how correct this is but when you upgrade your tier on Cloudflare aren't the costs basically up to Cloudflare?

With the horror stories heard over the years I think a real issue is no hard pricing cap with forced shutdown.

Unless that's changed? I booted them a year ago..

What if now or in the future people with assistive devices are using AI to share what they make?

I believe it's a policy or moderation enforcement issue. Such as banning incomprehensible / low value posts whether generated by AI or not.

I'm working on a website directory [1] and currently learning about distribution.

Ultimately I have plans to make it a place where I can output my product research showcasing websites that meet my own standards and allow other people to make their own lists. The lists are called 'Topics' and are coming in the next update. :)

I've had "buy motion" on my todo list for a while now.. just wanted to learn something new but it never made sense to buy it. With the subscription I think I'll give it a shot. Awesome!

Maybe this is because of scarcity.. if existing algos are applied on top of infinitely generated entertainment then perhaps we'll see something even more addictive than YouTube.

A small one (afaik) in a location that I wanted in the US [1]. I'm not running a bank so I'd prefer to just go down if I'm ever attacked.

I moved away from Cloudflare over a month ago because I didn't understand how they don't have pricing caps for their upgraded plans, they genuinely seem like the mob but I haven't looked any further into it..

Either way it's been interesting to see the bullets I've been dodging.

I'm working on adding favicons support to listings on my website directory I recently launched: https://intrasti.com

I just released the changelog 5 minutes ago https://intrasti.com/changelog which I went with a directory based approach using the international date format YYYY-MM-DD so in the source code it's ./changelog/docs/YYYY/MM/DD.md - seems to do the trick and ready for pagination which I haven't implemented yet.

Hi leakycap, thanks for checking it out, it means a lot!

All of the submissions apart from one an hour ago (got my first user!) are submitted by me, for example Call of Duty is on there because that's what I do in my spare time, Shift Hosting is what I've chosen for hosting because of the cost x perf ratio and they seem great, YouTube is on there because that's where I learned to program from TheNewBoston, and so fourth.

I agree in general it's not great.. but it's a start and I have the skills to improve it and fully committed to doing so. For example favicon support, profiles to see who posted what, features centered around curation and such.

I'm currently working on implementing a changelog to give a better idea on what's happening so if you're still curious I recommend keeping an eye out for that and I'd love to hear any more ideas you have.
