Things are records / rows. Collections of the same things are entities (rubber band/ folders). Groups of entities are tables (Drawers).
A star schema usually contains one table to one entity mapping.
Dynamic tables for custom field on the other hand are usually multi entity tables. In this case, it would be a large junk drawer with various unrelated folders stuffed inside with everything from report cards, to keys to toys, to take out menus. It would have the toys entities, take out menu entities, keys entities, etc inside a mixed table.
Paperless-ngx is the current active project. It is very active. It was forked off of paperless-ng when melendez became inactive. Which is also forked off of the original paperless when it became inactive.
I use paperless-ngx with 3-2-1 backup. It runs OCR and indexes them to makes everything searchable. I can go back years later and search for “toyota” find my car warranty agreement in an instance.
I have devices that only works with Usb a to c cables. I also have devices that doesn’t accept the same. ditto for e-marked cables, and passive charging cables. I now need to get a usb c cable tester and label each cable and device.
I’ve had numerous jobs spanning different business domains: banking, access management, multi tenant services provisioning, etl pipeline, and much more.
I was also curious enough to deep dive into a problem no matter which layer ranging from clarifying requirements of a project to debugging an application to tracing packets and troubleshooting physical hardware.
I’d say that it’s given me a very interesting and enjoyable career. and insights to almost zero in on the probable root cause on any problems as soon as someone starts to describe their issues. I’ve been able to jump into any unknown projects and debug issues and implement features.
Basic troubleshooting ability, the ability to say I don’t know right now, but I’ll be able to figure it out has paid off well financially and career wise.
Data storage and services are different accounts. The iCloud account stores your documents and files while the itunes account contains your subscriptions like apple music, app purchases, playlists, etc. I usually have a separate iCloud for work devices while having a common iTunes account between work and personal devices.
The shops in my area that used to be cash only mostly switched over to tap / card only. For a while, the cash only places were the targets of choice for break ins and robberies. Even my wife who used to prefer cash and checks switched over to mostly digital payment after her locker got broken into at the gym.
