The way I read this was "The Webb telescope just offered a view of starbirth that sheds light on earths distant past," it's accurate in that sense (our star was born and we're not sure how exactly) and agree could have been worded better.
I have a similar background and got a lot out of my CS program, its about what you put into it. Sorry you had a bad experience, that can absolutely make it harder to invest.
This looks great but I was sad to see advertisements and consider that a bell if not a whistle. I would pay a few bucks for this if it could match the features of the above with this clean visual style.
