P.S.: The most important thing about Web is the distribution aspect. I don't have to pay Google, Shmoogle, Apple, ask their permission or whatever. Root DNS could be replaced by a decentralized solution but otherwise it's perfect. OP's posts make an impression that this is the aspect that is not of interest to him. No way I would ever start using Google Play, Ubuntu One or anything like that over Web.
