Nice to see! Purchased back in 2015 and it’s been a daily driver since then. Props to Automattic for honouring existing purchasers with lifetime subscriptions!

November 2015 here with an also slightly terrifying 222d 17h!

Couldn’t agree more. I am absolutely a “coffee snob” but nothing compares to that winter morning instant coffee by my tent on a mountainside!

Agreed, this is exactly what my team does. We have a daily optional “coffee call” to just hang out and chat - no expectation or agenda.

I’ve been tempted multiple times to try hacking my Di2 but it’ll be a costly mistake if it goes wrong…

> But at the end of the day, it's about the process you build and making sure the tools serve it

This seems to be the key. The _process_ is important and Jira (or another tool) _can_ be used to help implement that process, but Jira itself is not the process.

> Those processes were properly translated and implemented into Jira. Development support teams wrote plugins to connect Jira with in-house systems and have proper synchronization with customer facing bug tracking systems

Interesting, do you think that Jira _requires_ that level of integration to be useful or could a simpler (e.g. less plugin development, synchronization with other systems e.t.c.) also be successful?

"From laptop to lambda"[0] from a couple of years ago is an interesting step in this direction.

> Extrapolating from past models, the Pixel 10 will be roughly the size of California

+1 just for the chuckle I got out of this! For some reason I found that unreasonably amusing :D

More seriously, though, I would love for this to succeed and would absolutely be a customer. Personally, the IP86 water resistance is important due to being outdoors (cycling, running, hiking) a lot. However I understand that may not fit within the budget (I would pay extra for it though).

Best of luck!

Ah yes, the “meeting sandwich”. Everyone’s favourite way to spend an entire afternoon…

Agreed. Are there any resources you recommend for getting good at solving problems with relational databases?

+1 to the CMU database group channel. High quality content with excellent (not to mention often entertaining) presentation. The recent Quarrantine[0] and Vaccination[1][2] tech talk series’s have been especially interesting.

The CMU Vaccination Database Talks series includes an excellent talk on FASTER from one of the authors: https://youtu.be/4Y0oNFud-VA

Didn’t even need to open the link to know what it was, thanks for the laugh!
