It is, and it doesn't require a VM to run the K8s cluster.

Indeed, sometimes it can be faster to nuke the cluster but this is also unsafe. microk8s reset asks Kubernetes to delete the resources created, and that can take time.

Both k3s and MicroK8s support single node and multi node setups. Now, there's an open debate whether running K8s locally is the right approach for container development.
