This book is one I re-read religiously, but the first time was as a young adult and I agree with you, remarkable. It seems to have a correcting effect on my psyche when I stray too far into anxiety and burnout.

My data point also is the same. But concerning cheat days, I decided to reintroduce carbs one type at a time in measured amounts to find which ones and how much bothered me. It’s still underway but now I know to not have oats (commercial oat milk specifically; “organic”) in any amount, it bothers me too much even though it tastes nice. Or sour dough bread made with one specific brand of wheat for example. It’s easier to experiment this way so i can transition into a 3 month keto / 3 month low carb diet which is my goal after i reach the body composition i want.

I’ve experienced the same and paired with my anxiety, I get really uncomfortable it interferes with my day to day life. I’ve visited a couple cardiologists, both well regarded, and been told it could be inflammation and to ignore it unless its painful and to get more fit (BMI fine, but a bit sedentary). But I feel the medical community is lagging behind in this regard, sadly. Oh, and masks didn’t make much of a difference anecdotally here.

Where I’m from (Kuwait) we don’t have any building code that defines or limits what can be done with a home or building’s facade and to be honest the clash of tastes is really visible and bothersome to see even when walking in my own neighborhood. However, this summer I travelled to Oman where such a code exists to limit out of place color palettes and facade shapes, so the houses are actually beautiful to look at with the mountain range in the background. Even those buildings near the coast have a separate set of codes and the place is certainly appealing to see and walk through.

Of course, sometimes there is a need for iconic structures and buildings, and there is a place for that, but I believe it is a matter of delicate balance and therefore should be codified as to not ruin the horizon. And thats why I kind of agree with the quoted statement.

As far as I know, the GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, etc) satellites needed to have more of Earth visible at all times, so they are farther away. Not an expert, just very interested.

Unfortunately this is very true. The intention I feel is to rest the body during Ramadan, eat only what you need, maybe a bit less to actually feel hunger, become more spiritual, etc. But where I am, it is literally the opposite; people make huge feasts, with round two being sweets and dessert. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Add to that the lack of motion and activity and at 30 days we’ve put on 10 kg. Sorry to put this under your comment xD
