That's correct. The intent of the law is to forbid making right turns from certain streets within a certain time frame. In this case, making a right turn off of this street in question from midnight to 7 AM is illegal and considered a traffic violation.
I'm glad that I'm not alone in that experience (albeit from the development side). A two week turnaround for a development VM would be amazing; on average, we're closer to a month from request to logging in.
In my case (at least this year), with major investment projects in progress, timelines demanded by customers with no tolerance for alternative dates (and those demands agreed upon by PMs and managers), I had no real opportunity to take days off without being held accountable for work expected of me during those days.
That said, I used my full two weeks to get out of the office from mid-December through the end of the year, and ended up working through part of it anyway due to more tight deadlines I was committed to without any significant input from me.
Had I not taken the days, they would have disappeared on January first without anything in exchange. In my case, it seems to just be a lose-lose.
The maximum g-load for an F-16 carrying external fuel tanks or air-to-ground ordinance is 5G and is enforced by the flight computer to prevent the extra weight on the wing hardpoints from causing structural damage to the air frame.
Within the cockpit, on the left side, there's a CAT switch that's used to switch between CAT-I (lighter loadouts, such as A-A) which permits more G-intensive maneuvering, and CAT-III (external tanks or A-G ordinance).
As far as sustained loads higher than 5G's, I could see the potential to kill someone, but I would also guess that the more immediate threat after G-LOC is probably the ground.
He's not saying that they shouldn't exist today, just that their genes will never make it back into the collective gene pool, stopping their traits and characteristics from ever propagating forward.
Not sure if it's of any interest (or if you've already seen it), but Garmin does have something comparable in an analog watch form with their recent Vivomove tracker.
Thanks for the reply; it's given me quite a bit to think through. I think I'll implement some part of this system and either charge recurring for hosting and domain or transfer them to hosting and domain renewal charged to them, their choice.
Spinning up a new Linode for their level of use is overkill, but I'd like to go through the effort to keep my personal VPS, well, personal.
I think a social photo app would require more than just the camera app and would dive into the user acquisition "arena". It's definitely a portfolio piece and I would push it as a camera alternative.
If you're looking for something extra to put into it (not sure if you are or not), I would look into the photosphere functionality that Google built into their camera for Android. I can't speak for the utilization across Android as a whole, but I use it quite a bit when I think a panorama is warranted but I also want to capture images above or below the panorama axis.
