The irony is that the services most vulnerable to this are the ones that collect the most email/data in the first place. Minimal data collection is the best mitigation.

Security by reducing attack surface is underrated as a design philosophy. We took a similar approach for a PDF tool — moved processing client-side entirely so there's no server to compromise in the first place.

This is a good reminder that any tool handling sensitive data — even internal ones — needs to be transparent about where data goes. The assumption that SaaS tools protect your data is getting harder to defend.

Neither, probably. The more likely outcome is that the definition of "coding" shifts. The people who understand what the code should do — the system design, the edge cases, the user problem — will remain essential. What gets automated is the mechanical translation of that understanding into syntax. That's actually a good thing for software quality if the people directing the AI know what they're doing.

The shift toward open source in consumer electronics is long overdue. The real question is whether Titan OS will allow users to actually control what data leaves their TV. Most smart TV platforms treat the device as a data collection endpoint first and a TV second. Open source at least gives someone the ability to audit that.

I do agree with your notion of the whole landscape and I also see that even on youtube there are a lot of videos that explain how to build your own saas using LLMs. I have also been doing these things on my own as I am also very interested in AI and LLMs. If someone has a good head on their shoulders and abit of devotion everything else becomes easy. I am also going to try your suggestions and see how they work out

xbox is always trying to limit the users, when a person buys something, he clearly gets the ownership of the thing yet companies nowadays are trying really hard to sell some subscription while giving the illusion that the owner of the product is in control all the while keeping him in control. is there anyone else who feels the same way?
