Its surprising, how this key insight is lacking, even in the best of developers.

It happened fast, as you prompted it just the right way. Another person, who doesn't have all that context in the mind, would fail quickly.

For example I have decades of Software experience, but wont know where to even begin what OP did.

Thanks for your explanation. I did not get it in the first read, and was too lazy to think, until saw your comment.

Just want to point out, that one is actually doing the experiment with a biased coin, then one must ignore all pairs.

e.g in case a coin which is heavily biased, say .9 H and .1 T. One should start with ignoring all the HH pairs, and start only at odd index. Lest, one picks a value like HHHHT (in the case the 2nd HH pair was not skipped, instead they greedily picked up the first HT, which will make the experiment HT biased).

Yep. I too felt that. The insights seem genuine. But probably fell into the temptation to use LLM to structure. I feel increased cognitive load with numbered lists, thanks to LLM.

Well its easy to cause damage by messing up the `rm` command, esp with `-fr` options. So don't take it as a proxy for some great skill which is required to cause damage.

Go compiler tooklit works very well on all the OSes. That would be a consideration.

I am loving the Net-neutrality activism in India, from a wide bunch of folks: Startup folks (HNers & the likes of Mahesh Murthy); OSS folks (likes of HasGeek/Kiran Jonalagadda);even the entertainment industry(AIB, Vishal Dadlani etc)...so for the third time now, the message has been driven across that, we are not sheep. You can fool the over-eager politicians, in their willingness to be seen as tech-savvy (even tech visionaries!), by just being overly pleased to have photo-ops with FB founders and the likes. But not everyone.

Thankfully, there is enough critical base of skepticism, over here. These kind of days, make me really proud as an Indian Internet user.

PS: On another note, welcome the entry of Netflix. Already became a member and enjoying it. I hope they remain very-very careful of not disturbing the sacred net-neutrality waters.

> But it doesn't change the fact that general population will say these things, and it's them, not HN crowd

What about thought leadership? I know its a cliche beaten to death perhaps, but still I think people are able to see a raised level of discourse, than theirs, while they may not always leave their hard positions and immediately agree.

But there's also this balancing act, that we need to do, of not wanting to get into an argument of certain kinds.
