I thought it was amusing that you said Apple was a "stupid American company with American values", even though you're actually complaining about a UK law. You do know this isn't a thing in the US, right? Just your country?

Is there a way to resize windows with this gesture as well?

> we use taxes as a process to crowdsource funding more effectively

Effectively? It doesn't seem to me like most western governments allocate this funding "effectively" at all. How do we increase the accountability?

Actually, the description of that video says the production line was in Hungary.

But there was still a lot of electronics manufacturing and assembly in the US during the early 2000's as well, including iPods and iMacs.

Why do European government websites do the same thing then? They’re also spreading propaganda?

I don't think anyone sees them as competitors, in fact that's exactly my point. I think the Vulkan/Mantle/Metal developers all had the same idea.

Metal predates Vulkan by over a year. Vulkan probably wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Metal.

This seems like something everybody wants but I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet. What are some of the (assumingly non-technical) challenges in such an enterprise?

I'm sure those aren't the only reasons. Quite a lot of people get away with tax fraud. If the IRS really knew everything and filing taxes was just a pointless exercise, why is fraud so prevalent?

Many books on Kobo also have DRM unfortunately.
