For me, C is perfect and just works and C++ doesnt. That being said, both their std libs are a big mess. It's absolutely horrible. The problem is the macro preprocessor. It's a horrible feature that should not have existed.

> Wojaks can be used by just about anyone for any purpose. It's the same for Pepe and just about any other image based meme format. Older memes by contrast had a solid base.

I dont agree with this. We already had memes with multiple purposes.

Although an interesting read. It's my opinion that meme culture today is the same as 10-15 years ago. It's not better or worse. It seems the same.

Although i would say the internet itself has changed alot. The internet used to be a place for regular people. Now it's full of corporations. It's all about money and advertisement these days, not communities. That's what i miss.

I think this overly corporated internet does have an effect on meme culture though. In my opinion we have become less creative. Big platforms became addictive loops and content creators become content factories. Both which are not good for creativity. Which is somewhat a point i think the OP made in that certain memes arent being replaced with new ones. e.g. pepe.

But then again. Pepe is the best.

doctors make mistakes all the time though. Programmers are not always allowed to make mistakes unless you want a security vulnerability that allows hackers to change medical records or airplane schedules. let alone space rockets with astronauts on board. better have your code right.

No plugins yet, so not for me. The way i navigate through my open files and code is quit unique but also important for me.

I like the idea, but it's implemented badly. Docs are not clear and syntax is just complex and odd. Nor do i know which packages i can install, i tried to click the "packages" link on their website, but those packages seem to be for something called "nixos" which is probably something different than just "nix". anyway. it's just confusing for no reason. That being said, the concept is alot better than docker. Docker is somewhat the worst idea ever and i find the people using it always have no understanding on how software works or computers in general. As for the article, as long as nix doesnt fixes their weirdness, docker will still be used. also docker is cross platform.

good. i feel like your track record of political bias was too damaging to the company. Sure it brought in alot of money, but i dont think it's a good longterm strategy.

i hope google/facebook and others leave europe. It would give room to newer/better companies. But ofc, they will never leave. Too much profit in europe.
