The video is an in-person discussion with Geoffrey Hinton, and the chip on your shoulder may be coloring your impression of reliability since the news agency and the person being interviewed stand rather apart to any reasonable person. Also, you are quibbling over the word 'smarter' and it doesn't seem like you are interested in opening the conversation further than to make your point of contention known. And, I have to ask whether you've seen the interview to begin with. Rude.

People forget history, but also revise and sanitize historical narratives. One quiet part is that Einstein was an unrepentant Soviet sympathizer in full awareness of the atrocities that were committed. Politics makes people dumb.

My comment has to do with the last line of the article, "nature doesn't forget." Obsolete symbiotic relations persist in the survived fossil species. The anachronic persistence of literally out-dated adaptations can be metaphorically extended to and within cults of worship that are based on the person-deity concept. Many pagan cult rituals persist in newer religions. Religion itself is anachronic to the modern ethos.

>According to Bill Sammon's book Fighting Back, Bush's gaze flitted about the room—the children, the press, the floor, his staff—while his mind raced about everything he did not yet know.

The article is from 2016. Recent data from 2023 studies are showing that while Gen Z and Millenials are fewer to marry and want children [1], they are also rewriting the rules of dating [2]. Digital forums like TikTok are giving younger generations a safe place to destigmatize what are deeply personal choices.[3]

But not all persons should marry and not all parents have the patience and attention to be good parents. It's a difficult road and who can blame any person for choosing otherwise?

The human era is geologically recorded with plastics and radioactive isotopes in our bones. The CO2-CH4 concentration spike is the cherry on top. Meanwhile, the cults continue to incantate to the god(s) as in the neolithic era. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolutionary_anachronism

"According to the study, in principle, cortex-wide organizational structures might be by-products of development or evolution that serve no computational function; but the fact that the same organizational structures can be observed for several species and across most cortical areas suggests that the lognormal distribution serves some purpose."

The largest discrepancies were recorded on flights prior to 2005. The later satellites recorded near zero discrepancies. MICROSCOPE found nothing anomalous. "The equivalence principle was measured to hold true within a precision of 10−15"[1] [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MICROSCOPE
