intelligence and will are completely different. The need to relax does not come from your intelligence. They wont need to go to the beach and relax or play football. They will know how to do things not why they are doing them
For me its actually exactly the opposite. I live in an island which makes the longest distance to be ~2hours with the car, but the way back aaalways seems to last forever, but the way there happens in an instant!

So if its smart enough to be compared as a human you can call it a non-human person, otherwise, a dumb chicken for example can not only be kept captive but can also be eaten. So I guess the case here is if its stupid you can eat it/kill it but if its close to your intelligence you cannot. My point, and I know I am not the only one, is that I have met several human-persons much dumber than chickens. Which makes me wonder why I cant kill them or even eat them, simply because they have the same body structure as I do.
