I love progressive techno for this. No vocals and sounds are in the lower frequency range. Easy to tune out.

Reaktor vst has a drum synthesizer that generates midi patterns from a small grid that simulates Conway's Game of Life. It's pretty fun to play with.

The amount of clicking around I have to do on the Settings window to get find where the hell things are is infuriating. Of course the search feature is just useless. I resort to Control Panel to just get most shit done. God forbid I need yo check a setting on another page and I forget how I even ended up on the page I needed.

Pretty cool. Just listened to a podcast where they talked about solarpunk. I appreciate the movement for its optimistic outlook of integrating humanity with nature as opposed to the dystopian cyberpunk narratives we see where everything is techno-centric and completely apart from the natural place we originate from.

This is fascinating. I'm sorry for what he had to go through. Sometimes we just don't think things through before executing the idea :). Would be cool to see another attempt in various locations around the world like internet cafes or some-such places. With the blessing of the location owners of course.

I'm still on an 2nd gen i5 with 12gb of ram. Haven't noticed any slowdowns even with the huge amount of processes in the background. I've been updating regularly and have enjoyed Win10 for years.

I got a tablet with a pen from a popular South Korean company and I love it precisely because it serves as a great alternative to typing. I take notes for class with its native app. This format works for me because I love paper notes but can't get over how hard it is to organize my chaotic style. Having it all located and organized on in a single object I can pick up any time is amazing. Lots of potential there but what is available already has led me to replace pen and paper with digital handwritten notes and papers. I live with limited space so this saves on space and allows me to maintain an easily searchable database of my work.

You'd want some system of verification and notarization by parties involved. Analogous to real world where art is inspected, verified, and notarized. If you own the mona lisa you'd wanna be damn sure you have the real thing. Kinda like a certificate authority.

Seems like case better suited to staking than NFTs.

Seemed like a good start to an argument. I don't see the blockchain power use as a consequential issue for NFTs. From what i understand its just a concept that can exist on any blockchain based system. Also, the vicious cycle he refers to would apply to a small niche of the digital market. The race to put out content is real in any new market. I hope this becomes a sustainable way for artist to make a living. At this point it seems open ended in where this lead to. I can imagine NFT's being a thing in games like Destiny, Warframe, etc(whatever genera bucket fits) where devs can release unique assets. I wonder what an NFT from 2021 will mean in 2121. Is this a fad or the beginning of new paradigms? Will that peice of digital art exist 100yrs from now or even be verifiable?
