There's much more to it. The VCs have that information. People should message me on Facebook to get more information. It has a growth innovation to decimate Advertising and chew up existing markets to spit out new markets.
Peter Thiel is a nobleman in my eyes. His type of Philanthropy, is the type of Philanthropy that doesn't leave the worlds innovators and statistical anomalies behind. I've encountered far more respect from Peters team and his network than I've encountered from any potential investors, anywhere. Within 10 minutes of contacting a Thiel-network firm, I had a meeting (next Monday). I'm also a guy who's lived 50-75% below the poverty line for years to get my innovation to the point where it's a once-in-a-generation startup, and I certainly haven't been discriminated against. I see Peter as a person who either is successful at getting the best out of people (and hopefully have them come to him), or has no problem saying No to people that probably ought not to be invested in - unless the bet was to fill a certain niche/padding of the fund to show short-term returns in terms of increased Market Value to limited partners.
When I read in the media that people call Peter a "Fascist", what I'm really reading is that these people saying horrible things about a perfectly good man is because they're intolerant of other peoples choices or views to the point of being Maoistic and Libelous. Even if Peter said No to me, by no means do I feel he would do me harm. He probably could because I don't exactly have patents issued, but I don't think he will because it's not why he got into business. Look at Thiel term sheets vs the competition. Night and day.
Also, think about it like this, Mr. Thiel is in a powerful position in politics, and could literally destroy me (and I know this), but his VC firm that it looks like he put all (or most) of the money into, felt it was important to meet with me as soon as possible and made me feel like a somebody, even though I felt like nobody for years. If they say Yes, that was the best way to start what could be a lifelong (forever?) relationship, and won my intense loyalty.
People should create the innovations, and come forth to Peter and his network. They really should.
Mark should run for President. If either Him or Peter were running, I'd vote for either of them. It'd be very good for innovation, people wouldn't suffocate under Business Regulation, and the US would have Utopian policies (I imagine). If Peter or Mark decide to become President, they should compete with Justin Trudeau, to see who can be more Socially Liberal.
I think that it's funny that they target what they call "Conspiracy Stories or Theories". The world should be inherently activist and sharing their experiences, to make our governments better. I was the victim of getting drugged and raped by what I believe was an intelligence agent when I was on vacation at Burning Man. She left her phone unlocked and I saw her texts to her handler. Saying I've "got info" and stuff, and this chick, very literally tried to probe a guy who throws red herrings for a living to protect the secrecy of my business. I thought I was secret enough that people took me serious but not literally who I wouldn't want to know, but actually take me seriously and literally.
Scared the shit out of me. She could've been getting me into a honey trap to discredit and disrupt for economic reasons because I'm building the next Facebook, extremely secretively. I didn't even know what a honey trap was. She expected me to be easy to get in a compromising situation, thinking I would shag her, when in fact, I had a lovely partner at home that I promised I'd be loyal too and told the rapist at the start of the week at Burning Man, I couldn't do that with her. At the end of the week, she drugged me and raped me. Now my doctor wants to pre-empt the symptoms of PTSD because I shake when she verbally mentions me getting raped.
Intelligence can be a good thing, but when they are picking and choosing who to like, and trying to harm with violent intent, and subsequently drugging and raping innocent innovators.. they're being totally fascist and scared of change.
The private sector can do intelligence better and get people out on the streets, exercising their constitutional rights with Celestial Messaging..
Why measure an "Intelligence Quotient" with methods of examination that have been shown to be a pseudo-science? People should be measuring "Intelligence Potential" using proper scientific methods with less subjectivity involved, and more objective evidence used as a way to get closer to true, justified beliefs.
Been working on this problem for awhile. We're currently in Alpha. Not saying a word about how we're fixing the problem on a public board, because peoples envy and jealousy leads to violence (imitative competition) Girard would postulate.
All I'll say, is it's really good and Gamified and will emancipate human people from suffering.
Look, Gawker was absolutely terroristic. Think about it, Mr. Thiel was closeted publicly, because it was noones business, and then Gawker outed him and his personal life for financial gain. They did it to others too. Mr. Thiel has said that Gawker was an isolated case for him, and it took him years to right wrongs..
I truly believe Bridge is certainly life-changing for their pupils, and I think it's a travesty that the Ugandan government fears that which it does not know..
Haha! A person who believes in free speech I am. An otherwise legal immigrant who wants to help his girlfriend paint a house for free, being discriminated against, exiled from a country for life and having his love with his lady being shattered because of unreasonable governments (such as my friend)? No way. Never happens. I'm kidding. I will always stick up for what I believe in, even when it makes my karma on HN go from 10 to -1. By the way, I'm going to strongly suggest that this person not"work" for free (there's no money involved, room and board are NOT money) in a foreign country like the United States, the freest country in the world and also the most incarcerated population in the world. I'm also saying that if he does, he should shut his mouth and not tell people on HN.
Look, DrScump, if a Canadian (like the one I know) can get deported for helping his girlfriend who he spent 6 months of the year with (because he legally could without "working" with his visa), with painting a house for free, realistically there are laws and regulations which are an impediment to freedom. Times are changing, and I'm going to be the messenger, so that people like the guy who posted this remain free, even if it's unpopular and could keep me away from getting an investment, or help by performing a public service by telling him why he should say nothing to people about stuff like this if he was planning to help people for free. You can't help people for free and have freedom at the same time, according to past US government administrations, apparently.
Also, US Presidents on both sides of the political spectrum have issued "Executive Orders" to bypass both Congress and the Senate and write things into law. They are considered unconstitutional by some, and constitutional by others.
Previous presidents enabled laws around people being considered "working" when they're not making a dime and it's destroyed families because noones considered changing it yet. I'd like to see Trump change that.
Downvote the fuck out of me, do I care? Of course not. I will always stick up for the little guy even when it's unpopular.
Yes, that's why I was suggesting the guy say nothing about his citizenship/visa status if he was indeed planning to help people for free. I'm the type of guy, where even if I'm open-minded about the government (and might even help them with my startup), I'm sticking up the little guy.
I would personally never "work" in the US without the right visa, because I am well-aware of the laws and am a very knowledgable man. I'm also reasonable, and the US government is not reasonable sometimes. I see that changing under Donald Trump, because I firmly believe that he will change his mind and end up being socially liberal because of people like Peter Thiel. I'm just doing a public service for this innocent man.
I know a person who was helping his girlfriend in the US paint a house, for no money, who got deported for "working" even though there was no money involved, and it destroyed his relationship and now has him banned from the Republic. I have strong feelings about an overbearing government and was speaking my mind. It was also a warning to the person who posted the thread not to tell people anything like that on a public forum, as a public service.
You want to know what, I'm going to call you out for this. I don't like people who are politically correct, and if you work for the Government, and truly believe that someone can "work" in another country without actually really working (in my opinion) because they're not making any money, and then have that person be rejected at the border for life (yes this really happens), among other things, for planning to "work" (according to you), for no money, you're part of the problem. This person is not asking for money. Stop trying to loop them into getting themselves in trouble, by admitting anything like that on a public forum, because I see you as potentially a politically-correct government troll collecting intelligence for evil purposes.
Marissa Mayer is one of those women who believes their shit is rock solid, when in fact it's very runny which can be compared to the runniness of Yahoos market cap since she became CEO. She is also an elitist who believes you need to have a college degree in order to get things done that she needs done. Now, Yahoo is virtually worthless. Good job Marissa.
I have a sneaking suspicion that some of these "Asian" candidates are playing the race card, and actually have not so good intentions with Palantir which deals with highly sensitive information. I would be wary, and if I was Palantir, I would bite.
If Twitter has other offshore employees that were underperforming, now that they've shown a willingness to let people go even though they probably cost less - it'll make the rest of the offshore employees work harder to keep there jobs.
