The Edinburgh Fringe's £800k ticketing system failed at launch. Built a replacement over the weekend. 150k tickets sold.

A £13,200 system quoted in 2003 for megabus became the core platform for two client relationships across the UK, North America, and Eastern Europe — built and operated by the same person for twelve years.

Founded kraya at 18, ran it for 15 years — five departments, thirty people at peak, every major client through direct referral.

Breadth across engineering, DevOps, data, and infrastructure — plus the commercial judgment that comes from running a company for 15 years.

Looking for the ideal permanent role. Also open to project and contract work.

I love this idea and wish more platforms would support this directly

It's a classic example of giving people the wrong incentive

I thought any website that wanted to operate in the EU had to follow EU regulations. How well this is enforced is another question.

I became an engineer because I love the work. I tend to use AI as a peer programmer / sounding board. There are boring bits - boilerplate that I will get A.I to to, but I prefer to do the fun / interesting things myself

I agree with the sentiment, but asking someone to effectively screen record their work is a huge ask in terms of privacy invasion, not to mention a huge admin burden in terms of reviewing it.

It might be simpler to ask them specific questions about the code base itself and why they did particular things. You might be able to recognise llms tics easier - assuming they copy and paste the responses.

given the choice of accepting cookies or subscribing, I tend to leave the site. Ironic that a post apparently about privacy doesn't seem to want to respect it.

If nobody cracks open a programming book, then I must be nobody - I read books all the time - both hardcopies and digital. They're my bedtime reading
