If you’re tracing Crash back to Magnolia, keep on going until you reach Robert Altman’s Short Cuts (1993). Magnolia uses a similar template, just weighs it all down with more melodrama.
This is a good idea. It seems like it would help eliminate a lot of the inherent guesswork in feature forecasting (as I've experienced it). "We have lost x amount in annual recurring revenue due to the absence of feature y..." It could also provide valuable insight into how well your product is serving different markets.
Agreed. If Grafana alerts supported templated variables I would migrate a decent chunk of my monitoring stack. But without templated variables the alert system feels half baked and I almost prefer it not even be a feature.
