Looks and feels like a red herring while Anthropic applies other silent countermeasures.

Classic marketing pricing strategy. Suddenly what has been seen as cheap is now given airs of luxury, exclusivity and craftsmanship.

If you are really serious about your work… and you are, aren’t you? Then $150 is nothing, it’s a reflection on how serious you are. An artist needs great tools… etc etc

Wowza this will be a token guzzler. Assuming Claude is parsing every message posted on multiple slack channels, compacting knowledge etc.

Looks like Anthropic is progressing further into platform territory and conquering Agentic use cases left right and centre. If you’re building an agent platform for workforce productivity today, your best best is model agnosticism and focus on token cost control.

Why is DuckDB so popular when one can use Python + Pandas?

Better perf + SQL is that mostly it?

A2A Protocol is directed at enterprises as is much of Google Cloud’s AI focus. They just renamed their AI suite “Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform” if you don’t believe me.

Enterprises have been sold on the idea of Agents talking to each other and performing collaborative work (replacing employees etc) so it makes sense.

From my pov nothing stops me from having a full blown agent _behind_ my MCP server.

So calling agent sees and MCP server, gets list of tools etc. The MCP server spins up an instance of relevant Agent and tells it to maintain state (if needed) as a key back to the calling agent’s MCP session_id.

Trivial stuff on Cloudflare

Don’t you? You can always say no verbally or with non-delivery. Are you working under a continuous and immediate threat of dismissal?

Stop calling Google Cloud, “Google”.

Completely different group of people, culture and incentives.

Google Cloud is another company under Alphabet.

Good luck finding a job. All the decision making business people I know see only two types of “technical people”.

The ones who are “AI pilled” and the contagious lepers.

Anthropic is putting a lot of eggs into the same Claude Code basket.

If the Lovable clone is real that’s going to piss off many model consumers out there.

Is Sierra next?

This is basically a win for Iran.

1. They replaced the decrepit Khameini with a much younger and more formidable Khameini.

2. “Pulled a Ukraine” vs the US showing defiance and have now rallied any wavering regime supporters against the American and Jewish “devils”.

3. Reminded the anti regime population that they’re not going anywhere and that the US can’t help them.

4. Showed everyone in the ME and the world that if anyone messes with them they’ll close the straight. Then gas prices go up. Then your own domestic pop gets pissed. Then your chances of re-election drop.

5. Destabilised the whole region costing the ME lots and lots of money.

I don’t think Opus and Sonnet are significantly better than Gemini or ChatGPT. Am I missing something?

It looks to me that Anthropic is one or two Gemmas away from a lot of people using Opus for 20% of hard use cases and letting on-device LLM rip through the code base on a Mac Mini or Studio and OpenCode.

Once Claude Code is not the only game in town and Cowork is made redundant by Google pulling their finger out on integration with Workspace, what else is there for Anthropic?

I don’t understand Claude Code’s moat here. What can it do that opencode can’t or couldn’t fairly easily implement?

Wow the sceptics really came out in force for this one.

I’m currently using Gemini to research components for a remote controlled plane. I have the frame of the plane and now need to buy correctly specced servo motors, an engine, battery, etc etc. It has saved me so much time and educated me tremendously on how the different components interact and the options available.

If I could just press “buy” from within Gemini and pay via Google Pay (or better still, Apple Pay) I’d do it in a heartbeat.

If ChatGPT can do this today, I need to try it.

Solid move by Altman - good signal they’re serious about capturing the Claude Code market from Anthropic.

What I don’t understand is why hasn’t anyone bought Jetbrains yet.

Atlassian? AWS? Google?
