Ambassador is positioned as API GW instead of ingress controller. Contour is designed to be an ingress controller.
API GW also acts as ingress controller but has more features than ingress controller to manage the APIs.
Contour is comparable to Istio-ingress, nginx ingress controller or HAProxy ingress controller.
Software Collections (https://www.softwarecollections.org/en/) give you the power to build, install, and use
multiple versions of software on the same system, without
affecting system-wide installed packages.
Is this what Nix OS is able to do? Install multiple versions of software and select which version to use before running?
Are there any other open source API GW software which can manage microservices running on kubernetes?
Traefik is very new and is advertised more as a reverse proxy and load balancer which is comparable to NGINX. There is kong which is based on openresty and nginx core. This has added some useful plugins but open source version doesn't have dashboard or analytics.
I am not exactly looking for Skype alternatives.
Looking for video chat solutions in general.
Are there any popular video chat solutions based on WebRTC?
Have tried Firefox Hello, but it was a barebones solution without features like echo-cancellation etc.
