It's my understanding that those websites are in violation of the gdpr for doing so.

Same here. What worries me most is what if Google just decide for whatever reason to close my email account down. I've already had several Youtube accounts closed for (in my opinion) spurious reasons. The appeals process is a joke. I can live without Youtube, but I can't easily get myself out of the gmail hole I've dug over the last 2 decades.

That's really impressive from a speed point of view but it hallucinates like it's on drugs.

I'd much rather trade speed for accuracy.

I always find it strange when people refer to twitter and YouTube etc as apps rather than websites.

Although MacOS users get this on the free version if they are using M-series chips

I have a Lumix camera which doesn't have support for Raw files but apparently you can just use the free Adobe DNG converter and it works well. It should work for your Fuji Raws too.

You're comparing someone reporting a person using a mobile phone while driving to the atrocities committed by Nazis?

You ought to petition the government to change the law then, not the guy reporting people breaking the law.

It's already got to the point that if I see an interesting video showing a cute animal doing something or a natural disaster my first thought is "Is this AI?"

You can also use pig's latin for the next level.

If by level 2 you mean the name of the village, I asked it to write a poem using the letters of each sentence starting with the name of the village

I'm probably very bad at this but I just hit this message:

"RATE_LIMIT:Hourly limit reached. Max 20 attempts per level per hour"

A bit frustrating to be honest.

Equally bad is the massive over sharpening applied to CCTV and dash cams. I tried to buy a dash cam a year ago that didn't have over sharpened images but it proved impossible.

Reading reg plates would be a lot easier if I could sharpen the image myself rather than try to battle with the "turn it up to 11" approach by manufacturers.

I've got lots to hide.

Doesn't mean you or anyone else has a right to know what it is and it doesn't mean I'm doing anything wrong either. We should all admit that we have lots we want to hide from other people and that's just fine and normal.

Regulatory alignment is very different to "surrendering some of your country's power". You've proved my point.

"One Reddit user said customer service explained that devices with remotes can no longer cast, claiming the decision was made to improve the customer experience."

How can this improve the customer experience?
jjbinx007

True, but it's still better than what we have now.

The "sovereignty" argument is a bit misleading though. It's basically regulatory alignment.

>Skepticism is a religion as much as Catholicism in Galileo’s time.

I think you must be using your own unique definition of skepticism because it's nothing like that.
