Looks like an another FUD from Ruby & Python world. Some people like braces and others don't. To market their tools, they often create these FUD and it's tiring.
Very useful. Another necessary addon is "who up/down voted". Often I'm noticing that people are down voting for their disagreements, instead for poor comments.
