Same here, I have issues with Github, giving me 500s when loading the page, new pushed commits not showing up...

The only way for me to find these stories is to use HN Algolia and sort by most popular in the last 24 hours. I guess lot of people do the same

I wonder what kind of dirt that could be, if he's already a known child rapist.

You can use 16px font size on mobile so the browser won't zoom in to the text field.

So much this. It's a perfect match for React. Let's you keep data/logic out of the components, 0 boilerplate, optimized renders (similar to what react compiler will do...).

You can even use tanstack-query to get all/most of its benefits. (by using its core package instead of react-query)

You previously answered me that getting H1B without a degree is a thing, but one has to have their work history well documented. Could you please expand on what involves? What if the companies someone worked at no longer exist? Thanks

4k 32" is 77% less pixels than 5k 27". That many pixels make night and day difference in text sharpness

MobX is not that known unfortunately. It kills me inside.

Documented meaning I need to have all my previous job contracts/documents? What if the companies don't exist anymore?

How common are H1Bs for people without a degree but with 12+ years of experience? Is that a legit thing?

Thank you. These tips are great. Offtopic but I love your simplistic website

It's not completely unreasonable point. I do see it's a very different type of work compared to mine. But I learned that life is not about doing something you love, but learning to love what you do. So I'm game to try something new.

Thanks! Those Cloud Guru courses look great and are also much more affordable than those from Linux Foundation. Replying to your other comment - yup, I do plan to get my hands dirty, either on my pet project or by helping out my DevOps colleague.

I wanna ask - how deep should I know Linux? I bought this crazy book years ago, Linux Programming Interface, which is clearly overkill. Do you have some recommendations there? Thanks again.
