When the the only thing CEOs talk about for every new technology is how many people they are going to put out of work because of it, the collective desire for new technology and progress is understandably lessened.
System Verilog is the C++ of chip design. It sucks, but it’s everywhere and tied into everything. Like C++ there are so many ways to write dangerous code. We do need a new chip design language but it’s going to take something special to move the needle.
Because every new technology is sold as a way to fire people and not “grow the pie”. What do you expect?
Rich folk don’t like it when poor people get more. It’s not partisan, it’s class based.
