Dying was Impossible to evade so far. So the best thing for happiness and Mental Health is to accept or not think about it. Maybe even see it as a "good" thing
To even Aknowledge that it might be possible could lead to false hope and disappointment.
I think thats the main reason many people are instinctively against it
The mind basically tries to protect them from fighting against the impossible and earning nothing but dread and disappointment.

You can stand up for yourself while others support you.

You always have Situations where something did go wrong. Usually multiple persons involved.
Owning up their share of the blame has a corellation to standing up for yourself in my experience

But their assets are often hard to move.
I just dont think that rich people in general have an interest in a (serious) war.
I rather think conflicts are used to distract from other problems and create "unity". But not with the goal to make money.
Obviously some peope will try to profit from it while its going on and some will also lobby for new ones. I just dont thinks that this influence is that big
Yes selling weapons is profitable.
But if your own country is at war with an equally strong opponent, then its not.
Economy is in shambles for both players no matter who wins.
Also tax rates during war time are really high.
Wars and other catastrophes are equalizing wealth distribution and are not distributing wealth to the top.
Human Progress isnt defined by evolution anymore but by our Technology and Knowledge.
There is no reason in an evolutionary sense to die anymore.
But i think The biggest benefit would be the ability for a society to pursue long term projects because you will actually see the benefits even if it takes a 100 years.

It also means you have a much harder time saving for a house, funding a company etc.
The top 10% are also the most important part of a society from an economic perspective.
So basically its easier to get into the top 10% in Europe while its easier to get into the very top in America.
The are much more selfmade Billionaires in America , i suspect its the same for Millionaires

if something is on the line i have a clear mind and i can concentrate uninterrupted even in noisy Environments.
Also if i am really passionate about something.

Because the hardship makes forming a bond easier.
Its something that evolves naturally. Most people dont know why it works it just happens

I cant see any event based on climate change that would wipe out all humans.
Climate Change may be fast for earth but is still slow for humans.
Cant really see a scenaria where a significant part of humanity couldnt adapt to the new circumstances.
The harsh conditions would probably even advance technology in general.
Still best Case would be to stop climate Change because that would be hard and scary times.
I think the paradoxon is that you dont have to use violence if you are able and willing to do so if necessary.
If both parties(comparable strength) in a conflict think the other will use violence if necessary they often will try to settle it in an other way.
But because the west was dominant for so long we are not used to actually use that violence in a serious way anymore. So we as a society forget how real conflict feels like. They ones in the middle east are to one sided to really count in my opinion.
While this is on a national level i think it also trickles down to everyday life and explains this shift.
I think there are some conflicts that you just cant settle with words. And funny enough most of the fights i had (as a kid/teenager) actually caused me to get better along with the person i fought.
He also says its not a healthy diet in general and that he doesnt know if it will work for other people.
I think a lot of people try to twist his words(or assume the worst interpretation) even on "normal" topics because they dont like his Politics.
