Yeap, to be honest I just put that title to get more attention, but also I can say that is a crowdsourced list, and I'm not getting paid by any company to submit any data. Unluckily I didn't find a way yet to keep the submission easy enough to keep people sharing their salaries but not too much to prevent trolls to post fake ones. Anyways I regularly cleaning the DB and removing fake submissions by hand, and some people are reporting them using the link at the bottom of the salary details Page.
I'm open to ideas to make this site more trustworthy. I think I was to naive to think that people would understand that the only way to help each other is submitting their real salary.
Unluckily, as it is a crowdsourced list I cant asure you that is not inflated by the submitters, but I try to keep it clean removing the submissions that are obviously fake, and people can report the ones that think that are not 100% true as well using the link at the bottom of the Salary Details Page.
To be completely honest i don't have a solution for that right now, I just build the site to replace all the spreadsheets that are around there, where people share their salaries in companies to give an idea to other (and themselves) if they are underpaid. I can say that they work realy well by my experience, even though they have the same issue. You need to see the overall picture, and try to get an idea, but don't take the highest and lowest values.
Anyways, I open to ideas, and suggestions of how can I improve the data submission.
Hi, today I wrote my first article on Medium explaining how you can migrate/convert your Vuejs app to a NuxtJs app in 7 steps.
I decided to write it because I faced that issue the last week. I had a Vue app that I wanted to rebuild completely using NuxtJs but I didn't find any useful guide of how to do it on the internet. So, once I finished rebuilding my website I decided to write my find outs.
For sure, is far to be a perfect guide, but I think is still a good point to start. Let me know if you have any doubts or you think I should add something else.
A few months ago a friend of mine got a job in a big USA company. She suspected she was being paid less than their workmates because of her nationality (Uruguayan) and gender (female). After talking with some colleagues they created a spreadsheet where everyone from that company could share their salaries, sector, years of experience and gender. So everyone could see if they were being paid fairly.
I thought it was a really great idea, everyone should have that in their company, so I decided to build a site where everyone could easily share their salaries in an anonymous way.
Researching about this on the internet, I found some tools (like glassdoor, o levels) but there are mainly about salaries just from the USA, big companies and more complex than we would like. Also, I found this subreddit and I saw there was a survey to do exactly the same, therefore I decided to share it here, maybe some people will find it useful as I do.
If you are interested in seeing what other people in your similar situation are earning or you are happy with your salary but you want to support equality, you all are invited to visit https://knowyourworth.site . I'd appreciate any kind of feedback or support spreading the word. Thanks!
Oh, I'm very sorry about that. I was checking the logs and I don't see anything. It is weird because yesterday a lot of people submitted their salaries without any problem. I'll continue checking to see if I find something. Sorry again.

Hi everyone. For the last 3 weeks, I’ve been working on the following project. The thing is that I own several accounts for my projects, some Instagram accounts, twitters, mail chimp lists, GitHub repositories, etc (you know what I mean). So it was really hard to keep track of how my audience was growing (or not) in any of them. I never remind how many followers, or subscriber I have in each one, and if my audience on them is really growing. Any of the most known platforms has a historical view neither :( .
So I decided to build my own solution. I create a very simple app, that sends directly to your inbox a report showing the followers (subscribers, etc) you have in your accounts. Also, it saves the historical data, so it shows how much your audience has grown.
I choose for an email report, because I don’t want another app to remember, I don’t want to have to log in and check metrics in a dashboard. I prefer to receive a scheduled report that I could check when I read my emails. Easy and simple. I tell you, is really exciting to check your emails and see you have received a new report, willing to see what your audience is growing. As I really enjoyed the result, I decided to release it to the world. Is FREE, but I added a premium plan, to see if I can make some money with it haha.
For the tech lovers: I built it with ExpressJS (Node), Vuejs + Bulma, Mysql DB and Nodemailer. I would love to answer any technical questions if you have any.
Yeah sure. But I believe that years of experience are useful to compare for the same level/title. For example, is not the same being a junior Backend Developer than a Senior one.
Also, a big factor influencing wages is country. I think is useless to compare your salary with another one of a different country, and that's the reason why I ask for it.

When she told me that I thought it was a really great idea, everyone should have that in their company, salary transparency helps all of us, to get an idea of how much earn people in similar situations than me.
A few weeks ago, the hashtag #knowyourworth wen viral. So I finally decided to build a site where everyone could easily share their salaries in an anonymous way.
I know there are some similar tools over there but there are most of them for the USA or they just have data from big companies. Sometimes they are more complex than we would like.
KYW is an anonymous way for people to openly discuss their wages because we believe that sharing salary is the best way to eliminate existing pay gaps in society.
Why did I decide to build KYW?
- Talking about your salary can be considered taboo. But how do you know if you’re being paid fairly without salary transparency?
- Discussing your salary information with your coworkers can lead to serious problems at work. While it's not technically illegal to discuss your salary, this talk could damage your workplace environment and get you in trouble with your employer.
- You’re starting at a new job and trying to understand how much you should earn.
- The gender pay gap, also known as the gender wage gap, is one of the most pervasive financial issues for women in America. In 2017, women in the U.S. earned just 82% of what men earned.
How KYW solve those problems?
- Sharing salary has proven to help eliminate existing pay gaps in society, including gender pay gaps and pay gaps between different social, economical and ethnic groups.
- Knowing what others in the same situation or similar roles earn can give you a sense of your worth without having to ask a colleague.
- Transparency can expose discrimination. We can find a trend of certain classes of employees being paid less than others, such as a gender or age group.
So if you are interested in seeing what other people in your similar situation are earning or you are happy with your salary but you want to support equality, you all are invited to visit https://knowyourworth.site.
I'd appreciate any kind of feedback or showing some support sharing it !
Cheers,
