Chinese people don't have the best reputation here,
most people think you're very smart, but people will worry about your English level/the readability of your code, culture fit, timezone differences, and of course the possibility of stealing trade secrets/hacking.
Aim for companies where you can be autonomous and which don't affect critical infrastructure(forget about financial services, health, science etc...)
Advice:
Be as fluent as possible in English
Network on linkedin or medium, invite recruiters, CTOs, other developers
We just went through a huge pandemic, a lot of people think we're on the brink of WW3, near a financial crisis, big inflation, huge mental and physical health problems.
And while I agree(even though a lot of the people I've suffered with didn't stay my friends), it seems "slightly" unhealthy to look for a situation where I could suffer just to form a bond through shared trauma with people
That you can't really help people without making money, having a profitable product/service/model.
Even the most selfless billionaires investor rarely want to burn a billion dollar in a money pit.
You can't work with people, who hate making money, who are so anti-capitalistic that the very thought of turning a profit goes against who they are as a person, no matter how benevolent or competent in other areas they are.
If you want to have any kind of real impact, you need to think like a business, a real business, except you'll just not be the one who benefits from the profits. You need stable revenue, profits, growth, even if it's to reinvest everything, but you can't be like "oh it's not about the money, we don't care about the money", the more of a non-profit you are the more you have to think about the money, unless Bill Gates is your daddy.
Of course you have to set to some limits in advance about the things that you'd never do, but you also have to be able to compromise, to see the bigger picture, if your decisions hurt 1 people to help 10 others maybe it's worth it, do no think in absolute, don't work with dogmatic people.
Also pay your people well, really well, a good salary spent on personal growth is an investment in the future of the project, just because money is not the ultimate goal, doesn't mean your partners/employees should have to deprive themselves. You can't perform if you can't take care of yourself.
Here's what used to work for me, if you do all of that at the same time you'd probably be fighting to stay awake after 10PM
-as few stimulants as possible, the optimal amount being exactly 0(no nicotine, no caffeine)
-no eating a few hours before sleep
-working out in the morning/afternoon(lifting and cardio)
-melatonin before sleep
-blue light glasses
-night mode on all my devices(warmer colors or even just devices turning off automatically)
-complete darkness and no distracting noises
-cold room, I've seen some people recommend 16°
-orgasms every evening
-mindful meditation before sleep
-no alcohol
-earplugs or relaxing binaural beats in comfortable earphones when trying to sleep and an eye mask
-the best bed/blankets/pillow you can buy
-a relaxing shower/bath
-a short walk in nature in the evening
I also used to take a bunch of supplements and very good food, and while it wasn't aimed at improving my sleep it probably improved my health/wellbeing which indirectly improved my sleep
If nothing works then indica weed, vaped or in edibles taken a few hours before going to bed lol
Yes.
I know at least one way to create unlimited outlook accounts for 0$(no paid proxy needed, no phone number, just a captcha solver model that can run on any PC, you could get a million outlook accounts for 0$).
I found this by accident, so there is probably dozens of ways to do this if you look hard enough.
There is also ways to get unlimited free premium exchange accounts.
Also most microsoft users are technically inept, so their accounts probably get hacked more often than other people.
These people coded Windows. No wonder nothing works as intended.
Expect you're not licensing functions, you're licensing a repository.
If I use a sentence or even a paragraph from a copyrighted book, it's not copyright infringement.
Copilot is not selling code, they're selling GPU time.
If you're ready to buy a hundred GPU/TPUs to train a new Copilot that is just as good, but for free, then go do it please, everyone will thank you
Why would anyone want to stop Copilot is beyond me.
Reinventing the wheel, millions of time a day, is an atrocity.
Millions of (wo)man hours, wasted, every single day, on writing solutions to problems that have already been solved. There is a partial solution to this, and it's making people angry, it's crazy.
If you put your code publicly on the internet, you should expect that people will reuse your code at some point, no one broke into your privates repositories.
Why would anyone waste their time to make other people waste more of their time is really beyond me.
-cuts their profits in half or more because they have to pay for the proxies(or if they own them they can't sell them since they need them)
-it prevents most low skilled people from doing it
-it prevents them from doing on it on an infinite scale, AWS have more than a 100 millions IPs, it's rare to see a grey market proxy provider with more than a few millions clean IPs, and it usually cost like 40 cents per IP, where it can be FREE on AWS
You add basic protection against headless browsers, behavioral analysis etc...And now 99% of the people who can fool you are already making 6 figures in legitimate jobs and won't risk 10 years of jail to earn just a bit more money.
