I don’t believe anything I read in the media so I rarely bother anymore. Plus is it really all that interesting?
A virus that will kill <1% of people (mostly the elderly; still sad but not as sad as child mortality...)? No, not particularly interesting. The world has seen far worse. Nationwide protests over police brutality? Also sad but not that interesting compared to what else is out there to read about. Most minorities who are killed by other people aren’t killed by cops. I’ll become more engaged when society starts caring about the other 99% of homicides.
As a former teacher I 100% support surveillance (hopefully video) monitoring in the classroom. Parents need to see first-hand how bad student behavior can get.
