I think the lift in conversions is because Intercom bubbles aren't live chat typically, they are a "Contact Us" form or an automated bot (not true "live chat"), so people are starting to ignore them. They changed their message at the top to say "Live Chat" so people click on that more because they are expecting real live chat.
I've read a ton of sales books and this is by far the best one. Actionable stuff - no fluff. Great for founders who have trouble getting the deal closed and the cash in the bank.
Turn on re-marketing as quickly as possible. You don't have to start paying for it right now but at least setup the tags so you can start cookie-ing new visitors - you can do this with Google Adwords. Feel free to contact me if you need help setting this up.
Hi Jason - I've been following your company for a while now and really love the service you provide! Congrats on the public launch your product is getting better and better.
My biggest feedback is that I found the left hand navigation to be really confusing. Instead I would use big beautiful travel images to draw the reader in so they will actually read your sample itinerary.
If you ask any big time blogger what the #1 tactic to draw a reader in it is always a combination of a written compelling tagline and an awesome image.
This is proof that Dropbox's referral strategy is working. This guy spent $25 to acquire a bunch of new users for DropBox. Way cheaper than what DropBox probably pays for the same users.
Yelp is 1 of 3 apps on my Android that I actually use. They have the best mobile experiences for reviews about a restaurant before you eat there. They have built a strong brand and I hope they do more with it. I for one, am really excited about their IPO.
One of the founders of FollowUp.cc left a comment on the blog post explaining the service a little better to me.
Here are the major benefits of FollowUp.cc in my eyes:
1. Multiple Email accounts all in one account
2. Calendar View of reminders
3. Response Detection (cancels a follow up if a response has been sent)
This is one of my favorite articles on typography. A few of my highlights:
1. Use one space after the period.
2. Indent to start a new paragraph (no need to have a blank line and indent).
3. Use smart quotes!
