This is common practice in much of developed world. Long ago, they used to have re-usable glass syringes that could be sterilized. Unfortunately, people switched to disposable syringes. The unit costs are...high in the US, unreasonable in developing countries.

It's not just this hospital, it's widespread ([1] report 38%)

Fortunately, there are competing LSPs of reasonable quality now. I'm using pyrefly. Not sure if ty/ruff have one too.

Indeed Apple Music Classical or Idagio. Spotify has never cared for classical, because the market is too small for them to bother.

I had a look at some of FileVine's output, and I can say I'm not surprised. This is not an organization that prizes engineering at all.

A blast from the past! Pyscripter was definitely a top contender back in Python 2.3 days. Not sure when I stopped using it and why. Seems to be actively maintained. Will have to try again.

This is a nice system. I wonder if modshim can be used to or extended to do hot reload.

If Mahindra[1] or Gayam[2] would put some doors on their electric tuktuks, they'd have this thing beat pretty handily, IMO.

Right, when I said JS with static typing, I meant TypeScript. Python has type checkers, see mypy and pyright, and I use them regularly. Most bugs that could be found by static type checker no longer make it into test or production for me.

Both Python and JS have static typing.

Edit: remove unnecessary snark

Java is great fit for large teams, but personally feels less productive than Python or JS. Startups do start with small teams. The Java overhead doesn’t make sense.

Fundamental flaw with this approach. Since I don't click on or watch conspiracy theories, none of my YouTube recommendations are those. But I have seen people watch incendiary and conspiracy theory videos exclusively on autoplay.
