I am a semi experienced dev, about seven years of experience. I know what you are saying, and I agree it should be kept simple.
I only picked up gulp last year, and honestly I use it to just automate the stuff I was doing before. Basically all my build system does is concatenation, minification, and preprocessing css to add browser prefixes. Oh and live reload my browser whenever I make a change. It's honestly refreshing and a huge time saver.
Yeah I'm sure it won't lead to any false accusations or men being fired because of mob mentality. Also your point about women being asked on dates is laughable.
