The jury acquitted because "the girl didn't seem upset enough." How upset does one need to be throughout the course of an entire trial? Are they implying she liked it , welcomed it, or made it up because she wasn't sobbing constantly? What possible motivation would she have to drag herself and her family through a jury trial if it were untrue?

I remember about 2005 looking at long-term trends in US wages, population, birth rates, suicide rates, national debt, climate change, inflation, and mortality causes. I determined the future was bleak. Some will survive and make it in the long-term, no doubt. The American empire is collapsing slowly, but it doesn't necessarily have to.

I had low T and hypotrophy.

You can't just give anabolic steroids or testosterone to men of fertile age because it causes testicular shrinkage, prolactin level rises (risks of breast development), and risks strokes and infarctions.

As a survivor of the 2018 Paradise Camp Fire, I find this story one-sided and tone-deaf in the face of climate change.

California just had and has its biggest forest fire ever.

Chopping down trees is absolutely necessary in urban-wildlife interface when it creates a conduit to catastrophic fires.

Furthermore, other than minor points of appearances and ecological reasons, trees aren't carbon sinks, they're waiting match sticks.

Also, in the town of Paradise within Butte county, loggers engaged in widespread resource extraction and theft by taking trees without land-owners' consent and pocketing the money. 10k's of trees sold for logs $1000+ each.

I isolated for a year, had 3M N95 masks from a natural disaster, and bought a P100 full face mask for airline travel.

This is an unwise, extreme, panic-driven, overreach lacking in evidence. This display of lack of common-sense makes public health look arbitrary, capricious, petty, authoritarian controlling rather than concerned with health, and untrustworthy.

Yes and no.

Yes, there will be multiple generations of vaccines for different variants and recognition of multiple components besides just spike proteins.

No, it's not starting from scratch. The underlying technology is proven. Revisions and similar vaccines. Probably a combination vaccine.

No need to panic. There are forks that also bypass age restrictions to.

Unaccountable mafia behavior. Until that changes, the public won't respect them except the fear of being summarily executed or property destroyed under qualified immunity.

Police either need public service liability insurance rather than qualified immunity so long as that doesn't affect public safety risk-taking for life saving, or the chain-of-command needs to hold officers to exceptionally high standards of conduct and professionalism.

Words need to keep their meaning. Poking a finger at someone's shoulder and calling it "rape" trivializes actual rape.

There's also relative degrees of suffering and intent to commit malice. Some don't fit neatly into a particular degree of a charge and are inherently "wobblers" (felonies or misdemeanors) depending on other factors.

Police enforce property rights of the rich first and occasionally help us plebs as an afterthought if inaction would make them look bad. They're are an organized violence mafia to feed for-profit prisons and pad stats for the criminal justice-industrial complex.

So how do they know it was a drone? Sounds like textbook, literal UFO if they're unsure.

In previous discussions about terrestrial origins, either it's a hobbyist, an industry professional, a criminal, a terrorist, black ops domestic military, or a foreign state actor. I don't see 70+ minute flights without the resources of a state actor, foreign or domestic.

Another possibility is such stories are concocted to throw shade on drones to legitimize FAA's overreach and/or police-industrial complex wants to sell new toys to counter whatever this supposedly was.

Yep. It's pure FUD used to moralize and control behavior of consenting adults. It's one step removed from criminalizing homosexuality and abortions.

Idiotic. Ceding to puritanical, moralizing PHBs is weak and throws away their core business model. They might as well declare bankruptcy and get it over with.

Leadership with backbone would deleverage themselves from controlling investors and utilize other payment methods like crypto.

There's always the Office Space approach. I would add crypto mixing before it drops in a bank account though. ;)

Florida took the approach of "people will get it. (shrugs)" and look what happened. LC has been associated with permanent organ damage. I think that's a reason to worry because of the disability adjusted life years (DALY) involved.

I'm 43, still date college students, and they love me. I'll settle in the next couple of years, but I'm not worried. It's all about confidence and perspective.

TBH, I don't use dating apps because they're all about hookups between pretty people, full of lazy/rude people, and a waste of time. Real life is much better.

Roger Ailes created FN specifically to extend and expand the ideological perspectives of the Nixon Republican faction using tilted mass media. It worked because there was demand for existing believers and also a malleable, susceptible audience.
