It’s amazing how little coverage this gets. Sure this behavior is exhibited all over the world and could be worse in some places (North Korea). But there are so many cries for help from there. Millions. This scale could be approaching Holocaust numbers and we seemingly can’t do anything because of politics? Nuclear weapons?

My friend's mom has a journal entry for everyday of her life. I'm jealous she has all those memories stored like that. It's a vast collection of notebooks
Agreed. It's known that one can program outside of work for a hobby (like many other jobs), but treating it like it's special probably creates the rift some may experience
It's 2016 and I feel like I'm going to become like this. I have a case of insomnia and drive to just work. I'm soon to graduate and the idea of working at a large company seemed nice after I applied, but when the offer was there I had to turn it down because I didn't want to be comfortable. I feel like start ups have so much to offer in terms of personal growth and I don't want to miss it.
