Also very impressive (and delivered with great humor)

I still have the circuit diagram (paper copy) that shipped with my Acorn Atom in, ahem, 1981. Didn’t ask for it!

(Edit: with the help of the circuit diagram we did make a simple mod to one of the output ports of the device)

Ouch! Horribly wrong on https://www.agedfish.com/blog/meiwaku-and-the-brompton-bell....

Maybe the Star Wars reference threw it.

I happened to need exactly this and was putting off coding it up myself. Signed up and was testing a live set-up within minutes. Very nice!

Not quite useless. POST tells the server to check for a body which I think is a reasonable indication of intent. But otherwise, yes, it’s all arbitrary and just vague hints to the server program as to what you might possibly be thinking of doing…

Can verify this having been woken up more than once by a -very- attention getting earthquake alarm on my or my employer’s iPhone. A contender for Most Shock and Awe in a single notification.

Still got my copy somewhere; will dig it out and re-read, though I suspect with some disappointment and sadness.

I’ve undertaken information security training in a number of Japanese companies. They all had what I thought was a disproportionate weighting on the “blind drunk salaryman falls asleep on a train and leaves behind a laptop, mobile phone, USB stick etc.” scenario.

I stand corrected.

Edited for clarity

Most Japanese kitchens have a combined microwave and oven; the oven is consequently small compared to one in the US but works well enough. Woks are used for Chinese cooking and so aren't standard in a Japanese kitchen.

The fridges are small by comparison but, especially in cities, most people shop several times a week and so space isn't a problem.

Great to hear. Have used Dead Man's Snitch in the past and plan to do so again in the future.
