I was a missionary in Montevideo Uruguay never having been away from home for Christmas. There were fireworks all night long and we were just outside with all the kids going to different peoples houses and just having a blast. Was one night I felt like everyone was nice to us and just accepted us.
Using Google docs it usually autofills the date for me but today it couldn’t as I typed the date the calendar widget came up. No Feb 29!
I typed 2024-02- waited and it didn’t show up. 2024- then autofilled 2024-03-01
Hey thanks for your comment. I certainly don't want a "how to get mugged app". I look at it as the local is the tourguide and you're paying for a tour. They pick the restaurant and if you agree that's where you go. Since its just meeting in a public place I would hope the chances of getting mugged are low. My hope is that by looking at their social media profiles you'd get an idea of what type of person you are meeting with.

My favorite memories when I'm abroad is meeting with the local people. This is trying very hard to not be a dating/hookup app but a place where my family might be able to take a local out to dinner and learn about their lives and practice speaking a foreign language.
