Interesting, but I wonder how feasible this actually is. The closest thing I can think of is the ability to selective defederate in things like Mastodon or Lemmy, where the host of your instance can do broad sweeps of moderation by essentially blocking instances that don't fit your instance's stance. The issue is that any moderation past personal blocks amd filters requires leaning against an authority, whether that be algorithmic, democratic, or our traditional style of moderation. And really, that's, in a way, what people want, someone who can handle removing unfavorable content before it gets to you most of the time. I'd love to hear ideas counter to this though.
Also, the open source versions are usually MineTest based, which is less a game, and more an engine that you add mods to to make your minecraft. That's another added layer of complexity to deter beginners, even if more advanced players enjoy the freedom for customization
That's not a requirement to be an organ donor though. Unless you have religious beliefs about the sanctity of an intact corpse, then the only potential harm is wasted resources checking if your organs are viable.
In the 3D printer market it has been pretty common to be moving micro SD cards around for that. A few printers use USB A, and there are mods to swap to full size SD cards/internet connectivity for getting your files to your printer, but micro SD was the standard until just recently.
To me, that reads largely as an organizational difference, and one of the few areas that does largely differ. In live theater, everything occurs in order, and especially in more contained plays, props stay where they're left between uses, or there is a scene change, during the time jump within the prop moving doesn't matter. Not so much with movies, so I can definitely grant that difference. However, I think some of this can also put the cart before the horse. In live theater, you really can't enforce your precise vision of the play. Things happen, and actors have to take it into their own hands. Someone drops a line, a glass shatters mid-scene and creates a hazard. That's the delegation a stage director does. A film director though, can re-take most shots, pick the one that matches their vision best, but with that creative control comes that excess cognitive load the quote mentions.
I'd say that most of those things you list film directors needing to worry about are just as important to stage directors, but also, film directors have crew and other experts to fill a lot of those gaps. Directors aren't writing scripts, there are scriptwriter for that, just like playwrights, the director just gets some input, which happens in live theater right now. I know a director who is having to edit the script of Hamlet himself right now due to time constraints. A film director doesn't necessarily need to know everything they just need to be able to vocalize their wants and vision to other people who know more, and be able to receive feedback from that. Also, to my knowledge, directors aren't hiring everyone. They might pick a few key people, but that's why you have producers, and you let your key people pick their people under them.
Well, yes and no. Theoretically, I could create my own sovereign nation on whatever land I want. But if nobody recognizes that sovereignty and applies their laws to that land instead of mine, am I really sovereignty? These reservations exist on land that otherwise is part of the USA. If the government decides not to recognize their sovereignty and say the treaties are void as a result, unless they can mount a resistance, they aren't really sovereign at that point.
I'm not sure anymore, but I remember back when I was in middle school, Radio Hyrule was entirely music selected by listeners in a queue, moving random only when it was empty. I believe there were queue limits on users though
