While the email experts are in this thread, can I get a guide on how to setup a simple email address @ my own domain?

If you google, most of the top hits are for free mail forwarding using your domain registrar. I tried this and it was pretty terrible with a ton of caveats. For example using namecheap you can only receive but not send from that domain, can't receive attachments, and can't even send an email to yourself for testing purposes.

I think the easiest way is to pay GSuite $6/month?

I thought you were going to go the other direction with your first sentence. It took some 4 billion years to go from the first cell to the first homosapien. Maybe another 400,000 years to get from that to how we are today.

That means 0.01% of the timeline was all it took for us to differentiate ourselves from regular animals who aren't a threat to the planet.

0.01% of 100 years is 3 days.

What info can possibly prevent this fraud though? Even the real large projects could ask friends and family to donate 5k that they gift back later. It's so easy/undetectable to do it's just leaving free money on the table.

This isn't a surprising result if you know what competition programming code looks like.

Everyone has their own distinctive personal library/template/boilerplate that they are pasting for every problem since includes, typedefs, defines, library helpers, IO, etc are always the same.

You can see some examples here to see what I mean: https://www.go-hero.net/jam/17/solutions

You might be saying this in jest but his statement is totally valid if he is a manager.

The level of abstraction you are working on matters. A manager can't just build a great business either. But for example if he encounters legal trouble, he can just hire lawyers to fix it.

His interface to the world is via delegation to people who can solve his subproblems competently and consistently. There's still a "surprising amount of detail" but at a higher abstraction level and solved with different tools(a really strong "biological" AI that can resolve and prevent the details from bubbling up :P).
