I was awestruck by the tool web "app" and not the stuff that it covered. I am just as impressed today as I was years ago by looking at the different interactions.
I saw this first back in school in 2013 and was instantly blown away. It was like the perodic table came to life.
Perhaps this is one of the influences that eventually led me to become a software dev

I strongly disagree. Competitive programming (CP) simply requires you to solve, more often than not, mathematical problems and puzzles. The main focus is on getting the solution as quickly as possible with no regard for the code quality or maintenance.
Hi, no need to worry. It's just to notify the user that the serviceworker is registered and the the whole thing can now work offline - the pregressive webapp is installed.
perhaps it'd be better if I changed the message to something like "??? ready to go offline"?

i'd argue that the "if, then" logic is present in "insight" too.
Like, if you play any card game, you can't really calculate the probabilities of cards turning up, but there are certain patterns that give an estimate of what might happen. Like in texas poker, if the cards on the table are 8H 7H 5H, and a player has 6H 10D, there's a high probability that it is a winning hand, but we can't know for sure whether it will win since we don't know what cards other players have.
