Incidentally, a western model has very famously been producing csam publicly for weeks.

It's totally reasonable to be skeptical of palantir without knowing the exact product in question, given their record.

I've used it before when I used to use emacs and it's really neat and simple to use but I think lazygit is better. I think of lazygit as the spiritual successor of magit. If you're curious what that looks like you can see a descriptive video on their GitHub.

If a Chinese company was making a substantial investment in Korea, they would likely not be stupid enough to jeopardize the project over some paperwork.

Do you have another explanation?

Some of my friends used it to play older lan games

I think I agree with your broader point, but it would be a mistake to trust apple to keep your data private.

It was pedantic but that doesn't make it a bad comment, I definitely appreciated the information

I'm sorry but this is difficult to believe. The site says that it's unlawful to do "minor vehicle repair [...] Using tools not normally found in a residence". If it was just a zoning law, why does it have to include that stipulation? I've seen plenty of people who own tools "not normally found in a residence". It's hard to guess exactly what the authors' intentions were, but it wouldn't be unreasonable for someone to conclude that there were other motives besides just cracking down on illegal auto shops.

Ah I see. I didn't know that. Usually I use option arrow keys or command arrow keys for that. Hopefully this supports those.

Same, I was hoping this did that but judging by your comment I guess it doesn't

Can you elaborate what you mean by readline style controls? Looked it up but that didn't help.

But what about users who actually prefer some web applications, like the user you responded to? To them, the web application is the hammer. I mean really who gets to decide which is better besides the user?

Everyone who is talking about how the route the industry took with SPAs was just a silly mistake, and that we should go back to the good old days of PHP are forgetting that at the end of the day the most important thing is to choose the best tool for the job at hand.

This, while very interesting and might have a preferable set of constraints for some projects, is simply not a good fit for many others, as you mentioned in your comment. This looks amazing, and I would definitely try it for a project in which it would fit, but I don't really see a reason to disparage the work others have been doing over the past decade. We need those other tools too!

(sorry for the rant)

I'm curious to know why you expected 2k. With more vertical integration, the cost normally goes down. Why would the cost go up for apple here?

Is there any indication at this point that they'll make that clear? It seems kind of strange to buy a computer without really knowing what you're buying.

I guess apple didn't officially say what intel processors they have in their computers, but at least you could look it up and know what you're getting.

Why is that an equivalent statement?

I mean really how is that different from downloading .exe installers and running them?

They do have an official docker image, that's a pretty good alternative in my opinion.
