When you’re implementing a new feature or switching to a different library, your application may start to underperform. We just ran into that exact problem, but with the combination of profilers, we were able to identify and reduce the bottleneck we introduced. In this article, we would like to show you how we pinpointed the bug that caused our performance issues so you know how to approach the problem if you ever run into it.

Yes indeed, but hey, we are commenting this here, so we are the part of first world, with some problems.

The solution that you proposed is ok, but then I have to do extra work, editing videos to be one video, which is really not a problem, but if the solution is here, why to do this extra step to have a video that you like.

When I was active in mma and had matches, I was a small light heavyweight, so I had a struggle maintaining 91-92 kg with 2 trainings per day. So I had to have around 8 meals per day, and around 1 kg of meat / carbs. So eat as much as you can and you will gain weight.

I am balancing my weight with training but, also it will help you try intermitted fasting, from Monday to Friday I only eat from 12:00 to 17:00, and that's it. In first it will be difficult, but then you adjust.

It's simple mathematics, figure it out how much do you need calories per day, then drop the intake of that amount of calories, and body will get the rest from your fat.

From my personal experience, sport help you develop the lack of fear for taking risks. Especially contact sport, as your body is in physical risk.

But, now, with almost 40 years of age, life got me ups and downs. So, now, I would say, make an assessment of the risk. What is the worst case scenario? If there is no logical reason, then just do it.

For example, what is the risk of living? Well, you can end up dead, but eventually, everybody dies, as life ends with death.

So, what is the risk for leaving a steady good income job and work on your project or a startup? Well, the risk is that you will lose steady income, maybe you will not have money for rent, food etc.. on the other hand, if you succeed, you will never need to think about money again.

If you fail, well, the risk is that you will need to find a job, start from bottom, but hey, you were there, on the bottom, and you know your way up. So the risk is minimum.

Well, a man gotta do what man gotta do. If you like the perks of working from home, no commuting, better time management etc.. you have to have some obligations.

For me, that obligation is to see your face on the meeting, because I would see your face on a real life meeting in person.

Why is that important, well, we can't substitute facial non verbal expressions by :) :( :/ etc...

I often present and give lectures, now remotely, and it's difficult to just watch your screen and slides, and you don't see reaction of the people who listens to you, not only audio reaction, but non-verbal, facial reaction.

So, for me it's a basic thing, if you seat at home, work, remotely, the bare minimum is to turn on your camera, especially if you work in fully remote international company where you have never meet your colleagues.

Well, I am in marketing, and all I can say to you is, if you hate marketing, then focus on public and media relations. Build a community if you don’t like ads.

But face it, almost everything that you use, from Logitech mouse, Apple or Lenovo ThinkPad computer, a Lexus or Toyota car is a result of marketing activities, public and media relations.

Now, you can do all that without marketing, but marketing is not only advertising, it’s much more than that. Advertising is just one tactic of marketing.

I am not a dev, but I seat a lot, as you. I am retired mma fighter, and I have some military background, so my days are scheduled like military. Why I am saying this, is to help you find 30-60 minutes per day for your body.

Back then, I had 1 - 2 trainings per day, now, well, I don't. Now, I ride MTB, and as I am competitive as much as I was when I was younger (now I am 39), so I go to XCM races.

How my day looks like, I am trying always, to have between 11:00 and 12:00 time for my body, that's in my schedule, and as I work from home, being with lockdowns and everything, I have a simple setup at my home to do basic training - pull ups, squats, abs etc..

And if you are a tech guy, and I think you are, my recommendation is PS VR, I have that, and I got that Beat Sabre game, man, my Garmin watch records about 300-450 kcal in 30 minutes of intensive playing of Beat Sabre, and yeah, it keeps you really active.

So, even if you are at home for days, you can do some physical things at home. Just, put it in your schedule, made it mandatory.

First, incoming recession is happening right now, so there is no dilemma, will it happen.

Second, let me answer your questions:

- What do you anticipate?

It depends on geopolitical situation, if Ukraine become a crisis center, it will be much worst for us in the Europe (I live in Croatia, EU member state). We are small 3rd world country in Europe, heavily depending on others recourse, so the first strike will be LNG prices, and yes, gasoline prices.

So, I anticipate chaos.

- Do you have plans incase you get laid off?

I have some savings, I can survive until the end of this year with no income and selling my car. Plan is to work whatever is needed to survive.

- Savings? If so for how long?

As I said, I always have at least 1 year in advance for surviving. Spending side is also adjusted to the income side.

- Are you sitting on an inflation hedge?

I would say.

- What business plans may thrive in a recession?

Any plan that finds the sweet spot of USP. I am economist, not a dev, so, for your business to survive in times of recession, sometimes a good plan is to do the opposite, if you can, this can be a investment for the future.

For example, car prices are going high, and you are selling used cars. You know people are getting less for their money, so you have a whole lot of cars siting in the yard, not selling. You could easily drop your maring to bear minimum, just to start selling, and you start driving revenue. What is here much more important, if all in your industry, start to rise prices, if start lowering, you will win on the market.

Mate, don't worry this is normal. I turned 39 last month, I have one failed marriage behind me (no kids), I don't have 500k USD in savings (so I think this is great for you), but I know what you are talking about.

Let me help you with one simple solution - testosterone. I was in mma most of my adult life, with some fights, sparings etc... I didn't use any susptances and supplements that are illegal. Now I am doing som mountain bike races (mostly XC marathones).

Speaking with lot of doctors that I know, the problem is that over 30, sometimes over 35, male is starting to lose testosterone. And testosterone is an essence for mail - physically and psychologically. Like women that over 45 starts to take estrogen, we should also start using testosterone.

So, try to see with your doctor, to start using just enough to keep your testosterone like you are in your 30-ties.

From my experience, it helps a lot, and soon when I will be over 40, it will really help.

Other than that, sport is always good for clearing your head, and hobbies.

And if you feel old, always look at Joe Biden, he is POTUS now. :)

Well, sometimes I start my morning with a 30 minutes high intensity training followed with cold shower. This really kicks me in the day.

Or, sometimes, I make some tea (don't drink coffee) and I play something for 30 min, like on PS or World of Tanks, Warships, anything that will get my concentration and blood higher than usual.

I am also not a morning person, my productivity is at peak from 14:00 - 19:00, not from 08:00 - 13:00. :)

Well, from my experience, it depends on what you have (hardware), but you can always play simpler games that doesn't need a big power, I like to play with my colleagues (we are all remote) CS:GO, it works almost on any modern computer, it's fun, you have to have a team of 5 and just have fun.

Other game that I played with my friends are World of Tanks and World of Warships, free to play, and if you are into military history, it could be fun.

But I would also recommend regular training for mental health. I know how it is, you are at home all the time, working remotely, and now even in winter, from my personal experience, I don't go out much, it can be like 2-3 days without me going out, but I train at home every day, 30-45 minutes. For physical and mental health.

I would say, this is misleading, as often do Google Ads campaigns, and I follow Google, well, from first day of Google Ads advertising, the position of Google was always the sam regarding ads - there is no way you can buy a position in the search results.

Yeah, there are SEO tactics, but they don't grant you fixed position. And Google Ad, well Search Ad is always different (from day one) than the organic search result.

And even so, Google Ad can't be misleading, because it directly affects the search result for the user, so you have some parameters like Quality score of the ad and the keyword, and yeah, if you try to mislead, they will disapprove your ad.

I have the similar schedule like you do. I even plan a short 0.5 - 1h training between morning and lunch. And like you, I am more productive in the afternoon, at the end of the day.
