On my computer, I use aerc[1] with an extra patch to sign outgoing emails by default. I try to never check emails on my phone, but I do have an emergency mailbox which I use FairMail[3] to get notifications for.

It's the only one I can find that works across Windows/Mac/Linux that is pretty fully featured. I do pay for the Pro version but mostly to support them than for the added features.
