Jon Batiste is a ray of light in an increasingly bleak world, what with wars and economic hardship ahead. May his light shine brighter.
Strange how he has so little to say on Colbert's show. As in, he comes across as shallow, when it seems he's actually not. Maybe he's still a bit camera shy.
I think it’s partly just the format. In his interview after the Grammys he was pretty thoughtful

It’s a fine interview in which Jon mentioned that red beans and rice was a favorite COVID recipe. And the recipe looks damn good, too. Your cynicism is misplaced.
I love Jon. It was just a stupid quip about the complaints about food blog recipes, and I recognised the similarity. But the downvotes are probably justified.
