It'll be interesting to see how this shakes out, because CFS (ME/CFS), Long COVID, PICS (Post Intensive Care Syndrome), PSS (Post Sepsis Syndrome) and a host of other diseases/conditions all share a very similar profile of symptoms.

No, it's just a hugely overhyped study by a private company.
They may be much the same with a viral root or it may be the aetiology is similar, but radically different root causes.
Understanding a persisting background rate would help with health economics aside from just helping the cohort, because the upside of getting young people back into the workforce pays back several fold on the economy.
