The top income earners in this country are paying a vast majority of the federal income tax burden already. We have a spending problem. Not a tax problem.
Regulation is not the answer. Intervention by well meaning governments into the market is what has landed us in this mess. Instead of rushing in to save the large banks and other institutions on the backs of the tax payers these institutions should be allowed to fail so that more prudent, efficient mechanisms can take their place.
IMO, no. You really ought to check out Michael Yon for phenomenal reporting on the war on terror. In other words, I get it. The Rolling Stone thinks conservatives are the devil. The bias is ridiculous. But if you choose to read that kind of thing that's your business.
I have absolutely no interest in seeing Al Jazeera in the US. We're already got the New York Times, MSNBC and CNN handling the Hamas/Hezbollah perspective on foreign affairs.
