I think it is more likely they shifted a power of two over implicitly by a base 10 place value instead of a binary one. Or multiplied by 10. Unsure why. But, seems simpler.
52 is notable as 2^4 + 2^3 = 24, 24 + 24 = 48, 48 + 2^2 = 52. But 57?
To clarify why I think you might be punished if you check and mess up: that's kinda how it works for rendering aid in a crisis. People have refused to render aid because they feared they would be sued. Even if you expect an airtight acquittal, it costs money, and you may not actually have enough money to prove your innocence if the other person has more.
The law doesn't say you have to check so you don't. They'd basically have to tell you they're a prohibited person for a DA to have an airtight case.
I bring this up because people like yourself slowly erode rights by doing "the right thing" when that thing is giving up something you will never get back.
I hate to be the one, but he's right: more background checks is hilariously unpopular outside of blue cities and states. A lot of people in red states, even in cities, think that the gun regulations we have are too strong.
It's a bad idea to check ID. If you check and get it wrong it may conceivably be used against you. The law does not require you to check and you should never check. Simply refuse to sell if they plainly state they are a felon or not a state resident and sell with no questions in every other case.
It's a thoughtcrime and a terrible law because of it. There's a ton of these w.r.t. gun laws in the US. Say the wrong thing and you get ten, say something slightly different and you get zero.
Err, have you asked them not to do that? About the only communication use for my smartwatch I've found is sending people voice snippets, because heaven knows you can't type on those screens. It's not too hard for the recipient to read them, and if you turn whatever you were going to type into your voice snippet there's no issue with length. (This genuinely seems useful for the people who get a cell-enabled smartwatch. Could exercise without anything in your pockets.)
Can also read text messages; can't see pictures very well, though they try. The speech to text is another option but less reliable than just sending your voice. It's gotten pretty good though.
There's environments where you get in trouble for unauthorized USB devices. Of course, you can just have them emulate an allowed VID/PID pair and get away with it, but it will lead to a rules clarification.
A real enterprise WiFi rollout might provision 1 access point for 1-4 people to keep access speeds high, depending on cube or office layout. WiFi shouldn't be expected to penetrate walls well. If you take normal WiFi hardware and try to go with normal household usage patterns it doesn't work great.
Those problems were solved for cars, they can be solved for planes. We shouldn't use it. Bioaccumulation of heavy metals was understood very early. Everything has a cost, spraying lead everywhere should be higher than what we are willing to pay.
I am guessing it's still allowed because people who fly planes can afford to lobby.
I was astounded to find TEL was still allowed in aviation fuels. Rates of cancers etc are higher near military bases due to fuel handling incidents.
There's a system in india where mercy killings are normal and there are plenty of stories of families plotting to kill their elders. It could end up like that if normalized.
