Not being treated like a potential shoplifter would be nice!

A friend of mine and I had these door alarm systems go off while ENTERING a store.

We (around 13 or 14 at that time) had to take off most of our clothes in front of other customers (in the middle of the entry next to the registers) until the "store detective" found out it was my friends cap, wet from the rain that day, that triggered the system.

Never told anyone because we were ashamed af.

I can't give any insight in my bosses' brain only my own:

Working from home opened my eyes. I already hated going to the office because of rude/loud coworkers, an open floor plan, nothing to do in my breaks than to sit at my desk (no nice parks near me) & a 15 mile (30min) drive to work.

During my time at home (during my breaks) I was able to do some gardening, visit my mother-in-law and walked our dog. I took me around 2 minutes to get ready to work. All of that on top of being able to concentrate. I actually liked my job and was looking forward to working again.

Now that I'm back in the office I just feel out of place. I can't concentrate, I have to talk to people who think they can interrupt me at any time even after politely telling them to get lost. I don't get much stuff done, my productivity dropped to pre-wfh levels.

So to all managers/bosses/whatever that insist on everyone being in the office: Fuck you!

I never did sports with masks, but yesterday I read the other comments and many pointed out that you should wear one or something similar to heat up and moisturize your breath.

Well, I tried it by going for an evening run yesterday at -2°C and it was amazing! No coughs, no stinging in my chest only a running nose. Last November I had problems to breath after my evening runs because it hurt so much and I quit because of this!

I do both and I order the clothes most times.

Clothes I can use in multiple situations (like a pair of jeans or normal t-shirts) are grouped together but I also use "use-case-drawers" (like sports or outside work clothes).

My girlfriend (no tech background) uses a more seperated system (work t-shirts are not sorted to work pants) but still seperated by use-case (normal pants /= work pants).

I guess it's up to everyones own preferences then..

My biggest problem is that there's not a single electric car in my financial reach. I can buy some old gasoline car for $2.000 to $4.000 but I just cannot afford an electric one for $40.000+.

We'd have to be working from home in the first place for it to stick! We're around 10 people in what's basically a glorified living room and it would be "too hard" to do wfh..
