I meant where do the timestamp begin? Depending on the definition of "begin" you may have issues with different editions of the same movie.

I.e. if in the same episode Netflix adds it's own logo and Amazon doesn't, then 00:01:35 will point to different scenes depending if you're watching Netflix vs Amazon

TL; DW: terminal velocity limits the maximum speed of the phone. Rugged cases are very good are preventing damage.

What's the timestamp relative to?

Depending on the origin, the same movie/episode may have different lengths for things like opening credits or "previously on ..." shorts

I have been working remotely for less than a year and I relate to the article,

Remote work it's not a better way to work in all the possible ways. It has it's own pros and cons.

I don't want to list the things that worked for me, there are plenty of articles that do a better job at it. But there is one principle I want to share: know yourself. Pause sometimes and ask yourself "how am I doing".

Respond honestly.

Then take actions to improve that.

Nubank, which went public late last year, counts famed investor Warren Buffett among its roster of backers. Buffett’s firm Berkshire Hathaway took a $500 million stake in Nubank in June 2021. The company is valued by the stock market at $20.4 billion, roughly half what it was worth in its December 2021 debut.

The title is an exaggeration. Buffet owns less than 3% of the bank. He has no control on their initiatives...

Node js is definitely great to kickstart a new project.

However I believe it becomes a trap when you start to pull in dependencies.

I recently resurrected a node.js project, just 3 years old, expecting it to be working as the day as I archived it.

Well no.

A package broke because of the newer version of Node.js. Therefore I performed a full upgrade of all packages and then _my code_ broke because some other package did not maintain backwards compatibility.

So I reverted everything back and manually upgraded only the necessary packages to make everything working again.

Both NPM and Github tell me how many unsecured packages I am using but I don't care, it's a project I am using for myself. But if it was for work I would have to spend time fixing a lot of broken things.

I think Node.js is not a boring. It is young and still growing.

That's awesome, for me an easy repairable/upgradeable device is a big plus. Only being able to change the battery can increase the lifespan of the device hugely.

Kudos to MS and I hope this trends will pick up with other vendors as well.

This.

Uni will give you a degree, which basically will be a "proof of work" and allow you to get a chance to be hired in a decent first job.

Uni will also guarantee that you have an overview of many topics. But often those overviews won't be enough when you will start working because the level of knowledge required will be much more deeper (or practical) than what was required in Uni.

My recommendation.

Analyze the the things you like that are related to CS and find something that intrigues you. Something that you really want to learn about. It could be games, microcontrollers, artificial intelligence, operating systems, mobile apps, websites, ...

Pick something and start reading about it, watch explainer videos, try to build one yourself. The more you will learn and play the more you will discover how many other things you have to learn and experiment with as well. Hopefully all of this learning will be easy, because you decided to learn it in first place!

This way your knowledge will grow much more than what Uni will give you. Some courses will be easy because you are already ahead. You will be confident when working on group projects or applying for work because you already played with the technology and you are up to date with the latest trends.
