I don't understand the hype because I'm out of the loop. Is the only advantage the lower hardware requirements, thus cost? Is there something I'm missing?

What does Surface Linux get you? I installed standard Fedora on my Surface Go 2 and have never had any complaints.

namecheap also supports .dev. I purchased mine there years ago.

If you click through to the previous article, it says they'll be launching a kickstarter campaign in spring.

This is interesting. Just the other day I did a search on DDG and had the same thing happen, a full page of .it TLDs that vaguely matched what I was searching for. This is the only time I have seen that and unfortunately I don't remember what search terms I used, probably something related to my recent video card issues.

I actually built my first mechanical keyboard hand wired, it helped understand the basics of how it all worked.

I don't remember if it was this exact guide, but I'm pretty sure I was following Matt3o's guide when I did it: https://matt3o.com/hand-wiring-a-custom-keyboard/

edit: it may have actually been this one: https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6050&start=

I used namecheap to register my domain, and they have an option for dynamic DNS without ongoing fees (besides domain fees, I guess). I would be surprised if other registrars didn't have something similar.

You might also want to look at the mostly printed CNC, which uses standard conduit/pipe for the frame.
