One heated day I punched an object that ought not be punched. Little finger swelled up and didn't quite work correctly. A few hours later said finger was bandaged, and holding a bill for $3,400. No medication. Just looked at, x-ray'd, and bandaged into recovery position. $3,400. US. It would have been cheaper to fly back to the UK and have it looked at - three times over!
I wondered what all the fuss was about... indeed it seemed like the guy copy/pasted the Gruppled Lockinfo theme and popped some text on the page to describe it all.
Lockinfo became too much useless info for me to have open all the time. Notified Pro with Statusbar plugin is the minimalistic approach I was looking for, although not perfect as yet.
Edit/ Unsure what year the post was created. Might've been before Lockinfo.
iOS + mac users will leave Tinygrab for a system that still works in iOS
The user loses 5 minutes of sign up time. Tinygrab loses income.
Shame there's no way of sending all users to the Tinygrab site for sign up as that'd negate the 30%. but then apple would moan it's a feature that should be available in the app and you're back to square 1
"What did Android "copy"? An interface with a grid of icons?"
In layman terms, yes. You might argue Android copied it from Apple who copied it from Win Mobile who copied it from Windows who copied it from Apple who bought it off Parc. But that would be annoying to read.
AutoCAD for Mac came out of beta stages recently. It is still rather clunky in usage. The GUI is also in need of a little love, but it works. Revit for Mac can't be that far off.
Vectorworks (used to be called MiniCAD) for Mac is still excelling in areas AutoCAD seems to have forgotten about. Its 2D drafting is unparalleled, although use in a multi-user environment is lacking. There is also ArchiCAD; a system second only to Bentley. Once one adapts to the different method of drafting in these apps they rarely want to go back to ACAD, if only for import/export checks.
Much like moving from Word to Pages... annoyingly odd at first but much more productive once learnt fully.
It has been known for quite some time now that the upcoming iterations of Apple's operating system will be using HP Sauce's 57 varieties as a naming scheme, allowing for an unprecedented amount of revisions before trying to think of something else.
