pg-dev-container is a ready-to-run VS Code development container that includes:
- PostgreSQL source code and build tools
- A debug build of PostgreSQL
- A pre-configured debugger for step-through debugging
- Sample extensions
- A brief guide on how to compile, install, and debug a simple extension
For Debian there is Extended Long Term Support (ELTS) : a commercial offering to further extend the lifetime of Debian releases to 10 years (i.e. 5 supplementary years after the 5 years offered by the LTS project)
